You can expect your new eyelash extensions
to be as comfortable and carefree as natural lashes.
Your technician has bonded each extension
to one of your natural eyelashes. With proper care, the extension will
stay in place for about two months-the average life span of a natural
lash. As your natural lashes fall out, any attached extensions will fall
out along with them.
You can sleep, shower, work out, even
swim, and the extensions will stay in place.
To keep your lashes looking their best,
schedule touch-up appointments so your technician can replace lost
extensions, schedule a Fill appointment every 2 to 3 weeks.
Tips for Longer-Lasting Lashes
For the longest-lasting application, treat
your lash extensions gently.
Avoid touching or getting water on the
extensions for the first 24 hours following the procedure so that
the adhesive can dry completely.
Do not submerge face into water from
shower head when showering, avoid conditioner running onto face.
Avoid hot steam for the shower and
sauna for 2 days.
Avoid rubbing your eyes.
Avoid using mascara. If you feel you
must use mascara, be sure it is water-based. Oil-based mascara will
gently weaken the adhesive and cause the extensions to detach from
the natural eyelashes. Do not use Waterproof Mascara on the lashes.
Other oil-based skin preparations
should not be used near the eyes.
Do not use lash curlers.
PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE: Just because
you need to avoid water for the first 24 hours does not mean to
never wash them. Your lashes are like the hair on your head – you
must wash them everyday and shampoo them at least once or twice a
week to keep your natural oils free from your lashes. Your natural
oils and sweat build up can cause a breakdown of the bond and make
the synthetic lashes to slip or pop off. A water based cleanser is
best.
